Job Description

Venture Solar is hiring a Service Electrician based in Southington, CT. The role focuses on electrical work for PV solar systems serving residential and commercial customers across multiple northeastern states. This is a full-time position with overtime available.

Responsibilities

  • Execute electrical wiring plans for PV solar systems
  • Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment
  • Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks while ensuring component compatibility
  • Prepare and assemble conduits and route wiring through them
  • Troubleshoot to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair damaged components

Requirements

  • Valid electrical license in the state of CT
  • Experience as an electrician
  • Experience in residential or commercial electrical systems
  • Ability to use electrical and hand tools such as wire strippers and voltmeters
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and blueprints
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and work on pitched residential roofs
  • Ability to work in attics
  • Ability to work long shifts

Benefits

  • Full-time schedule of 40+ hours per week with overtime pay

  • $35-$45 per hour, commensurate with experience
