Job Description

Sunrun is hiring a Solar Sales Representative in Sugar Land, TX. This is a direct seller, commission-only position focused on residential solar and battery storage. The role centers on territory development and homeowner outreach in a vertically integrated residential energy company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage sales activities within an assigned residential territory
  • Engage homeowners through door knocking, networking, and referral follow-up
  • Track sales activities and meet defined performance targets
  • Present solar and storage solutions, explain financing options, and guide customers through the purchase process
  • Educate homeowners on cost savings, clean energy benefits, and energy independence
  • Attend weekly training meetings to refine sales skills and identify advancement opportunities

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Preferred experience in direct or commission-based sales
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends
  • Physical capability to work outdoors and walk for extended periods in varying weather conditions
  • Valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License required; candidates without the license may be hired initially as a Sales Scheduler at minimum wage capped at 35 hours per week until the license is obtained, then transition to the 100% commission Solar Sales Direct Seller role
