Journeyman Electrician

Pearce Services seeks a Journeyman Electrician based in Lake Mary, Florida. The position supports commercial construction, infrastructure upgrades, EV charging installations, and mission-critical power systems including UPS units and generators. Pearce provides technical maintenance, repair, operations, and engineering services for electromechanical infrastructure across renewable energy, telecom, and data centers as a wholly owned subsidiary of CBRE Group, Inc.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments
• Read and interpret one-line diagrams, blueprints, and specifications
• Install conduit, wiring, panels, switchgear, and equipment
• Support installation and commissioning of UPS systems, generators, and EV charging stations
• Perform electrical testing, startup, and system verification
• Ensure compliance with NEC codes, safety standards, and company procedures
• Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and other trades
• Mentor apprentices and support workforce development

Requirements

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License (state-specific or ability to reciprocate)
• 5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
• Experience with critical power systems, data centers, or EV infrastructure preferred
• Strong understanding of NEC and electrical safety practices
• Ability to read drawings and perform layout independently
• Proficient with electrical tools, testing equipment, and installation practices
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally
• UPS systems (installation, maintenance, or startup) preferred
• Generator systems and transfer switches preferred
• EV charging infrastructure installation preferred
• Data center or mission-critical environments preferred
