Job Description

Solar Landscape, a leading commercial rooftop solar developer operating across the U.S., is hiring O&M Technicians at multiple experience levels (Tier 1–4) for its Chicago office. In this role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and safety of commercial solar energy systems, working within a growing operations team focused on reliable system delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on commercial rooftop solar installations
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system performance issues across DC/AC wiring, inverters, and monitoring equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency
  • Monitor system performance data and respond to alerts or underperformance flags
  • Document maintenance activities and system conditions in company records
  • Support safe, compliant operation of solar energy systems

Requirements

  • Experience level requirements vary by tier; Tier 1 is entry-level; higher tiers require progressively more hands-on solar O&M or installation experience
  • Ability to work at heights and perform physical work on rooftops
  • Basic electrical knowledge and comfort with DC/AC systems
  • Valid driver's license
