Licensed Solar Field Service Technician

About the Role

You will provide field service support for residential solar installations, addressing system issues and ensuring customer equipment operates safely and efficiently. This position combines technical problem-solving with hands-on electrical work across diverse customer installations throughout the Austin region.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot residential PV, battery storage, and off-grid system faults
• Perform repairs and maintenance on solar photovoltaic arrays, inverters, and balance-of-system components
• Execute DC and AC wiring corrections and component replacements
• Conduct system inspections and provide technical assessments to customers
• Document all service visits and repairs in company systems
• Coordinate with installation and customer service teams on complex issues

Requirements

• Current Texas Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license
• Prior residential solar installation or field service experience
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work at heights and in varied weather conditions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Detail-oriented approach to safety and code compliance
