Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance)

The Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance) role at Pearce Services involves O&M work at local solar energy sites near Ridgely, Tennessee. Candidates must reside within approximately 50 miles of the area and will handle preventative and corrective maintenance on solar utility and sub-station equipment as part of the Pearce Renewables division.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of solar utility and sub-station equipment.
• Complete documentation including work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency information schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical components using digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot installed solar equipment to ensure proper working order.
• Apply Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) procedures.
• Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely in accordance with company and insurance requirements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in commercial or industrial operations and maintenance on solar power plants (preferred).
• Preventative maintenance experience on solar utility equipment (preferred).
• Mechanical and electrical experience with troubleshooting and installation skills.
• Experience with inverters, tracker systems, or sub-station equipment such as TMEIC, SMA, Sungrow, Nextracker, or ATI (preferred).
• Reside within approximately 50 miles of Ridgely, Tennessee.
• Ability to work outdoors in ambient temperatures.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts via telephone or text message.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
