Job Description

As a Solar Electrician, you’ll play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of residential and commercial solar systems.   • Valid state-issued electrician license at the Journeyman level or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Install and wire residential solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, and monitoring equipment. Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and utility requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to wiring, inverters, or performance. Interpret site plans and electrical schematics for accurate installations. Perform electrical upgrades or modifications as needed for solar integration. Test and commission systems to ensure safe, efficient operation. Maintain clean, safe job sites in compliance with OSHA and company standards. Collaborate with crew leads and project teams to complete installations on schedule. Communicate effectively with homeowners to explain system function and answer questions.
  • Complete required documentation for inspections and project records.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

  • 1 years in the solar industry, preferred but not required. Knowledge with a wide range of residential solar products (inverters, modules, etc.) OSHA 10 certification or be able to obtain. Familiarity with solar inverters and monitoring systems. A valid US driver’s license is required. The driver's license must be active for a minimum of 4 years. A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 4 years).
  • Experience in troubleshooting PV system performance issues. A background check will be performed on all new hires. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with internal and external groups. Ability to think critically, problem solve, and work in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in residential wiring, conduit bending, and panel upgrades.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in electrical work in the solar industry. Valid state-issued electrician license at the Journeyman level or higher is preferred however, Registered Unlicensed Electrician certification is also acceptable Complete solar projects in a timely manner. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and local electrical codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and site plans. Comfortable working on rooftops and in varying weather conditions. Strong commitment to job site safety and OSHA standards.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and safely use hand/power tools. Willingness to travel within the state as needed. Salary Description $50-$60
