Job Description

Freedom Solar Power is seeking a Crew Lead Solar Installer for residential photovoltaic system installation in Austin, TX. This leadership role oversees a team of installers on systems ranging from 1kW to 30kW residential projects.

About the Role

As Crew Lead, you will manage daily installation operations, coordinate team activities, and ensure quality execution of residential solar projects. You'll work directly with installers and support the company's residential solar division.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of solar installers on residential PV projects
  • Oversee system installations ranging from 1kW to 30kW
  • Manage daily crew scheduling, workflow, and site coordination
  • Ensure quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards
  • Communicate with customers, management, and installation teams
  • Organize materials, tools, and equipment for job sites

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a solar installer on residential PV systems
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and mentor a crew of installers
  • Knowledge of residential solar installation practices and safety protocols
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
