Licensed Solar Electrician -Residential Wireman/Journeyman

Freedom Solar Power seeks a licensed solar electrician to perform residential PV system installations and electrical work in the Austin, TX area. This full-time, on-site role focuses on solar panel wiring, service panel upgrades, and integrated home energy systems including battery storage and generators.

About the Role

You will serve as the primary electrician on residential solar installation projects, responsible for all electrical components of photovoltaic systems and related home energy infrastructure. Work is performed on-site at customer locations throughout the Austin region, and you will operate a company-provided vehicle for daily travel between jobs.

Responsibilities

• Execute DC and AC wiring for residential solar PV arrays
• Install and terminate solar modules and racking systems
• Perform electrical service panel upgrades to accommodate solar systems
• Install battery storage systems and backup generators
• Conduct electrical inspections and troubleshoot system performance issues
• Ensure all work meets local electrical codes and safety standards

Requirements

• Current residential wireman or journeyman electrician license in Texas
• Demonstrated experience with residential solar PV electrical installation
• Proficiency in DC/AC electrical systems and grounding practices
• Ability to work at heights and on rooftops
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
