Job Description

Bone Dry Roofing, a roofing and masonry contractor operating in Indianapolis since 1989, is hiring a Solar Electrician to support solar installation work alongside our existing roofing and exterior services.

Responsibilities

  • Install and wire DC and AC electrical systems on residential and commercial solar arrays
  • Perform rooftop electrical work including module connections, combiner box installation, and conduit routing
  • Install and terminate solar wiring, disconnects, and overcurrent protection devices
  • Conduct electrical inspections and troubleshoot PV system faults
  • Work with racking systems and coordinate electrical runs with mounting hardware
  • Ensure all work meets National Electrical Code (NEC) and local permit requirements

Requirements

  • Valid Indiana electrician license or apprenticeship card
  • NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification or equivalent hands-on solar electrical experience
  • Working knowledge of DC/AC wiring, grounding, and bonding in PV systems
  • Ability to work at heights and on rooftops in varying weather conditions
  • Comfortable lifting and carrying materials up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
