Job Description
Freedom Solar Power seeks a Solar Installer to join its Houston, TX team on a full-time, on-site basis. You will install residential photovoltaic systems ranging from 1kW to 30kW across the Houston area, handling racking, DC/AC wiring, equipment installation, commissioning, and system testing. Freedom Solar and Freedom HVAC operate as an integrated energy company serving Texas homeowners.
Responsibilities
- Install PV racking systems on residential rooftops
- Mount and secure solar modules according to design specifications
- Perform DC-side wiring and connections between modules and combiner boxes
- Install and wire AC equipment, including inverters and disconnect switches
- Conduct system commissioning and performance testing
- Verify electrical connections and system safety before customer handoff
Requirements
- Hands-on construction or solar installation experience
- Ability to work safely at heights and on rooftops
- Competency with hand tools and power tools
- Physical capability to lift and carry materials and equipment
