Solar Installer

Faith Technologies is hiring a Solar Installer in Chicago, IL to perform installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of solar systems in commercial and industrial settings. You'll work within a team environment, handling both rooftop and ground-mount PV arrays while adhering to OSHA safety standards and company protocols.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot solar panels and equipment in commercial and industrial settings
• Install and align racking systems for rooftop and ground-mount solar arrays to meet safety standards and maximize energy efficiency
• Conduct electrical work, including DC/AC wiring and connecting solar system components
• Complete installations to specifications, meeting safety and quality standards
• Analyze blueprints and apply information on jobsites
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety audits, and safety functions
• Maintain OSHA, Faith Technologies, and customer-specific safety compliance; identify, correct, and report unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents immediately
• Clean and maintain jobsites, tools, and vehicles
• Answer customer questions and provide service support
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Specialized technical training in solar installation or related field
• Understanding of electrical systems and construction practices
• Experience with racking system installation and alignment for rooftop and ground-mount arrays
• OSHA compliance knowledge
• Ability to work 50–75% travel
• Flexible schedule availability, including potential nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team
• Must pass background check and drug test
